We charge an asset-based management fee to our clients so that our compensation for investment management is directly related to their level of assets and investment performance. We accept no fees or other compensation from brokerage firms, insurance companies, or mutual fund companies.
Fees
Fees are based on the total value of your portfolio at the end of each quarter and are billed quarterly.
Assets under Management and Assets under Advisement fees are:
First 0 - $1 million in invested assets | 0.80% annually |
Invested assets in excess of $1 million up to $3 million | 0.65% annually |
Invested assets in excess of $3 million | 0.50% annually |
529 college savings plans | 0.40% annually |
It is our goal to keep your costs low to increase your investment returns. Fees can often be deducted from investment accounts held at approved custodians. Clients must provide advance authorization for deduction of advisory fees.
For certain clients with a smaller amount of assets to manage and plans to save for retirement, we charge a flat fee per quarter for investment advisory services only.
Retirement & Financial Planning
We begin every client relationship with a review of all investment assets and income tax returns, which allow us to understand your financial and tax situation and advise you better.
We discuss your retirement objectives or retirement situation, in case you are already retired, and then project your investment asset growth and compare that to your cash flow requirements in retirement.
If you are not yet retired, we will recommend ways to accumulate the necessary savings to support yourself in retirement.
We work with you to analyze your existing financial situation, quantify and prioritize your goals, and project your investment growth and cash flow needs to an advanced age. We can address your needs in terms of determining whether or not your investments, retirement earnings, and other assets will be sufficient to provide you with a comfortable retirement. During retirement, we manage monthly or quarterly retirement deposits, tax withholdings, and required minimum distributions through our discount broker custodian.
We recommend specific solutions to help you achieve your retirement and other financial goals, such as buying a new home or paying for college expenses for your children.
All NAPFA registered advisors offer comprehensive financial planning services to their clients. Such a review includes your insurance policies, tax planning, debt management, educational funding, and basic estate tax planning issues.
